NH Sheep & Wool festival is in 11 days!!!

Just for your temptation...We have been commissioned to sell 20 Icelandic fleeces for one of Jerry's shearing customers. Just a few of the sheep. If we don't sell them all, they will be on the fleece page.

Chris Duncklee's Icelandic fleeces will be there as well, in roving form.

For some reason I could not get this link in my other post about shearing at Chris' farm... So, let's try it here. http://www.christophersduncklee.com/ Very nice work!!!
And, I have been dyeing up a storm. We have new roving and yarn colors to tempt you! (o;
(Pay no attention to the cat helping in the picture) One of the few colors not for sale is on the Kiwi. The yarn might be for sale though.

Sunday, we went Littleton, NH to shear. These are some of the mountains that still had snow.

And, we came home to this in our garden. Isn't it wild?!

Yesterday, (April 21, 2010) we sheared in Hillsboro, NH. And, no, I forgot my camera.... But, there were BLACK FLIES!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_fly These horrible little creatures are usually here Mother's Day to Father's Day. They are WAY too early!! What is our summer going to be like?

Remember my post from the 16th? Snow.........and now black flies. Are we going to have a summer? We will have to wait and see.

April 16th snow!?!

Looking out my office window and slider.

The front deck. (Notice the bleach and the basin. We clean between customers.)

My oregano and lettuce. And the flower bed in front of the barn.
Before going out. And after the door is first opened.

Going out into the snow.

Morning grain time.

The boys, scrounging for grain on the ground. We had a customer postpone his shearing, so hopefully Jerry can shear these guys today.

Looking out from the barn.
