Vermont Sheep & Wool festival pictures

Saturday was wet and dreary, but we fiber people are nuts. (o;
These are random pictures of festival. I did not get as many pictures as I wanted because Shari and I were busy talking and selling. Thank you to all who came out in the rain!!

I don't remember whose booth on the left this was. The booth on the right is Betty Berlenbach & Sue Connary ( Maple Hill Farm @ http://sheepwoman.wordpress.com/ and HodgePodge Yarns & Fibers @ http://hdgpdg.wordpress.com/) They were in the barns with the animals.

A couple of shots of the main building with the hillside behind, and the outside vendors in front and to the left (where we were).

See the spot on the right, under the overhang? That is where we hope to be next year. But, right now, we are the second tent on the left. We are between Now and Zen Yarns (http://www.nowandzenyarns.com/ ) and The Sheep Shed ( http://www.sheepshed.net/ )

We were fortunate enough to be able to park out behind the tent. Next year, we will be able to park nearby. Close enough to keep extra product in the vehicle, if needed. The left hand picture shows Shari with a customer when it was temporarily not raining. I sat across the way, spinning, and would run across to close up the sides when it rained or to open them up when it stopped (or when Shari was away). I am so glad we work well together!!

Sunday the sun came out and we were able to take all of our washed fleeces out of the tent so they could be displayed properly. It was a little full in our tent on Saturday... And we were able to get out the knit goods. (o:

I like these pictures of the rovings with the trees in the background.
We left the the clear sides up for a while as it looked like it was going to rain again, but the sun finally came out and we could open the tent. The colors show so much better in the sun.
Jerry and Tom (Sue's husband) sat across the way (where I was Saturday) spinning until the sun came out. And then I got them to move next to the fibers. It was a good way to get people to stop and look around. (o;
This next weekend is Wool Arts Tour. We are in a new location this year. Look for us in Deering at Spinner Farm! http://www.woolartstournh.com/locations/SpinnerFarm.htm
