Well, day one was certainly a wet one!! But, the shoppers were out and Shari & I certainly thank all who purchased from us in the rain. Jerry will be going with me today, and we are praying for sunshine!! If the sun comes out, the washed fleeces will go outside the tent. We have at the festival Jacob, Southdown, 3 colors of Romney, Tunis, Texel, Horned Dorset and Border Leicester/Romney all washed for $10/lb. We decided this would be a good way for spinners to try a little before they commit to an entire fleece.
We also have 2 lambs fleeces, and 1 adult Romney fleece, that were processed into roving for us by Fiber Dreams Farm in Temple, NH and 1 BFL lamb's fleece that was processed by Hope Spinnery in ME. (The wind powered one.)
I will try to get picture here later today or tomorrow. It depends on how tired I am. Now to drive 75 minutes/61 miles to see if our tent is still standing, and that our product is still dry...
