Our first scheduled lambing date wasn't until Saturday...
Mouse is a Romney/Horned Dorset cross.
She was 3# when born, her twin was 6#.
It was touch and go as to whether or not she'd survive.
She will be 3 next month. She still on the smaller size.
When Jerry went out around 1pm to hay and re-water, he came back in the house and said 'We have a lamb! And, it is your favorite sheep.' She is fed separately because of her size.
She delivered a ram lamb, cleaned him up and fed him before we got in there.
Way to go for a 1st time mom! I love my Dorset and Dorset cross sheep.
Proud papa!! Christopher will be 1 next month.
Mama! I am hungry again.
We need to shear her soon, before I lose her fleece.
